• Charleston native & Gullah Artist

    Charleston Native, Roginia "Ms. Gina" Watson, specializes in her signature handmade Gullah Dolls and Gullah Doll inspired Artwork from her remote studio located Mount Pleasant, SC.

    Her artistry began very young being taught the art of Sweetgrass Basket weaving from her Grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Venning-Stokes of Wando, South Carolina. Gina would spend days with her grandmother harvesting or weaving basket starter knots at the Historic Charleston City Market.

    She later attended The Art Institute of Charleston, focused on achieving her BS in Photography. Her love of the arts has inspired her collection of work embracing her passions, tradition & art.
