    Gullah Keepsakes was created to honor the rich beauty & timeless cultural practices of the Gullah Geechee People of today.

    Gullah Artist have imprinted on the history of the Lowcountry giving this city its amalgamation, charm, and charisma. From dialect, spirituality, and foodways, Gullah Geechee culture has sustained over many generations. Initiatives like Gullah Keepsakes draw passionately from the gravity each generation before them have instilled. The magnitude of this resilience is why the Gullah Keepsakes artwork is a missioned precedence.

    Special Love Dedication to Elizabeth Venning-Stokes.

    My late grandmother that taught me so many things about life. She kept me by her side sewing Sweetgrass Baskets, selling at The Historic Charleston Market street corners, and other festivals. Weaving Gullah Geechee traditions into every seam of my life.
